Regional Programming? Possible?

width=As I predicted several months ago, looks like we are headed towards a new era of programming. The industry has been testing how well programmers can hand le multi-formatted stations in one market for a while and it appears to be a natural progression. I’m not sure if the Music Director’s role will increase to report to Regional PDs but it seems likely. The latest situation is in Los Angeles where KIIS PD John Ivey just picked up not one but TWO additional stations. He will now hand le the recently vacated PD seats of KHHT’s R Dub and KBIG’s Chachi Denes. Lawd, I would not want to be in Ivey’s shoes. Talk about not having a life… I’m sorry, that’s a LOT of work.
