Countering Hate: Community Conversation Guide

This event has been postponed to Sept. 2.

HT’s College of Arts and Sciences in conjunction with YWCA ATX and the Austin Community Law Center present “Countering Hate: A Community Conversation and Guide for Action” this coming Saturday in the AL Auditorium from 9:00 � 12:00. The event schedule is as follows:

9-10AM: Introductions and Conversation with Community Leaders

10-11AM: Teach-in Managing the Emotional Response (Triggers) in times of crisis and upheaval

11-12PM “Know your rights” provided by the Austin Community Law Center: Planning a demonstration, your rights when attending a demonstration, legal contours of civil disobedience and/or legal observation, etc.

This is event is free to HT students who show an ID. It is a $5.00 donation for all other attendees. Tickets can be purchased in advance through this link:
