Popular Florida DJ Sheldon Martinez Dies43-year-old Sheldon Martinez, a popular Florida DJ and Florida A&M alum died on May 18, 2013 in a car crash.He was popularly known as DJ Saxwell and died from injuries he received from the car accident.According to local police, Martinez’s car traveled across a patch of grass, two lanes of traffic and then flipped over into a canal. Police have not identified what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.There will be a fundraiser held in Martinez’ honor on Wednesday, May 22 at Loft, 55 W. Church Street at 6 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Martinez family.
