Rest in Peace Pete “dj Jones”! He was an early “sound system”/hip-hop pioneer, throwing parties in the Bronx throughout the 70’s and early 80’s often battling dj Kool Herc. He also appeared on WBLS early on. He was 79.� Find out more about Pete in the video
