Doug Morris Stepping Down from Universal at Year’s End

Most notably, Barry Weiss’ move to Universal (posted yesterday) and now on the reverse Universal Music’s CEO Doug Morris, 72, is in talks with rival Sony about taking over as the head of the music division the New York Post has reported. No word on how Universal will handle the $10 million contractual obligation they current have in place with Morris through 2013 to remain as chairman if he steps down as CEO.
