Hughley: Transgender Bathrooms Not Same as Civil Rights

D.L. Hughley is a very outspoken comedian, radio personality, and person. He has a very clever way of getting his point across and many times he comes off with a “zero f*cks given” attitude.

He is unapologetic when it comes to his truth especially when it comes to racial, civil, or political issues. The latest hot issue has been the transgender bathroom controversy. Last week, Target announced that it would allow transgender employees and customers to choose the restroom and fitting room that corresponds with the gender they identify with. Earlier,North Carolina passed a law restricting bathroom access to transgender people, a bill that set off a national debate and has created a bunch of controversy.D.L.

Hughley doesn’t have an issue with transgender people and their bathroom selection but he does have an issue with the movement being compared to the civil rights movement. This weekend, the comedian took to Twitter to express how he really felt with the following tweet below.Transgenders fight 4 restrooms is not the same as blk ppls! There’s a difference between civil rights movements and bowel movements! #TeamDl D.L.
