During an appearance at 2021 SWAC Media Day, 2nd year Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders said “We’re the only team expected to win in the first year in the country” When asked what he has learned about Black college football, Sanders expresses dismay and disappointment with the lack of coverage and support that Black networks give to HBCUs. He specifically mentions TV One and BET for not being in the room.
