Create Music Group has successfully concluded its latest funding round, raising over $450 million in new equity and debt capital, which has propelled the company’s valuation to an impressive $2.2 billion. Founded in 2015, Create Music Group continues to be predominantly owned by its founders, while institutional investors such as Ares Management, 2 Mile, and Flexpoint Ford hold minority stakes in the company. The recent financing round also saw enhanced support from a banking group, with Truist Securities and Banc of California acting as joint lead arrangers.

This funding comes on the heels of Create’s strategic investment in Nettwerk Music Group, which boasts a diverse roster of artists including Sarah McLachlan, Vacations, SYML, and Paris Paloma. This move underscores Create’s commitment to expanding its influence within the music industry.

This capital will not only accelerate our roadmap, expanding our footprint in media, IP and technology, but also empower our partners to build generational businesses that redefine culture and value creation across the global entertainment ecosystem.”

Lierk, who joined Electric Feel in 2019 as an executive assistant to CEO Austin Rosen, has steadily climbed the ranks, becoming chief of staff in 2021. Rosen praised Lierk’s contributions, stating, “Jamie has always been a valuable member of our team, and Im thrilled to support her as she steps into the role of COO. This transition is a natural progression of the operational leadership she has demonstrated over the past several years and positions Electric Feel strongly for its next phase of growth.” Additionally, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Mary Kutter has signed with WME for global representation, further highlighting the dynamic changes within the music industry.
