2022 BMI Songwriter of the Year�HARDY�launched into CMA Fest week by celebrating his two No. One hits, �wait in the truck� and �TRUCK BED� yesterday (6/03).
Hosted by BMI and ASCAP, the music industry gathered on top of BMI�s Nashville rooftop as the Big Loud Records/Big Loud Rock artist was joined by his “wait in the truck” duet partner, GRAMMY� award winning singer songwriter and reigning ACM/CMA Entertainer of The Year, Lainey Wilson (BMI), along with the songwriters and producers behind each chart-topper.
Emceed by BMI�s Leslie Roberts, the lunchtime event kicked off with remarks about HARDY�s multi-Platinum hit �wait in the truck,� as songwriters Michael Hardy (BMI/Producer),�Renee Blair�(BMI),�Hunter Phelps�(ASCAP) and�Jordan Schmidt�(ASCAP/Producer) spoke about the authenticity behind the ACM and CMA award-winning hit.
�wait in the truck� serves as Blair�s first No. One, and to commemorate the moment Taylor guitars gifted her a BMI custom branded 210-dlx guitar. Next, songwriters Michael Hardy (BMI/Producer),�Ben Johnson�(BMI/Producer),�Ashley Gorley�(ASCAP) and�Hunter Phelps�(ASCAP) elaborated on the process behind �TRUCK BED,� as the Platinum hit serves as HARDY�s 15th No.
