BMI welcomed Blue Highway Records’ PLATINUM-selling singer/songwriter Jackson Dean along with industry professionals to celebrate his second career No. One hit “Heavens To Betsy” in BMI’s Nashville lobby yesterday afternoon (5/05). Originally appearing as a live track on his Live At The Ryman album, “Heavens To Betsy” is the reflective lead single from Dean’s sophomore album, On The Back of My Dreams, and follows his debut chart topper “Don’t Come Lookin’.”

Hosted by BMI and emceed by BMI’s MaryAnn Keen, Keen invited BMI’s Rooftop On The Row® series alum Dean to stage along with his co-writers Benjy Davis (BMI), Driver Williams (BMI) and GRAMMY-nominated producer Luke Dick to stage to share remarks. To commemorate Williams’ first No. One hit as a BMI songwriter, he was presented with a custom Taylor 210e DLX guitar. Sponsored by Studio Bank, Kari Barnhart made a special donation presentation on behalf of Dean and collaborators in support of Old Friends Senior Dogs Sanctuary. The new official whiskey sponsor of BMI No. One parties, Green River Whiskey, gifted Dean, his co-writers and producer each with a commemorative bottle of single barrel bourbon in honor of their hit.
