Believe’s sweeping organizational restructuring matters immediately to independent labels, publishers, and radio programmers because it consolidates the company’s commercial and technology divisions under a single leadership framework designed to supercharge artist development. By merging its Global Commercial organization with Product, Tech & Operations, the Paris-based digital music company aims to become a unified “One Global Artist Development Company,” a shift that promises faster delivery of tools for songwriters, labels, and artists worldwide.
A Unified Command for Artist Growth
The Paris-based company announced the new structure on Thursday, July 9, appointing Elsa Bahamonde Bourgain as President of Artist Services and Label & Artist Solutions. She will lead the combined commercial organization, bringing together divisions that previously operated separately. Her remit covers solutions for independent artists eager to reach local audiences and achieve global success, as well as services for independent labels including distribution, marketing, and digital promotion.
Romain Becker has been named Group Chief Operating Officer to lead the unified Product, Tech & Operations structure. Becker, who previously served as Believe’s Chief Product, Operations and Marketing Services Officer, will oversee a team that includes Group CTO Luxi, Global SVP Operations Sandrine Lalau-Keraly, and newly appointed Group CPO Antoine. Becker stated that the company has been working on unifying these organizations for years, a move that fully integrates TuneCore into the broader ecosystem.
Strategic Synergies for the 2030 Ambition
This restructure is not merely a structural evolution but a deliberate choice to sharpen impact through strong synergies between commercial and technology teams. Believe Founder and CEO Nicolas Béranger emphasized that the new governance and talent pool will allow the company to deliver on its promise to artists, labels, songwriters, and publishers worldwide. These foundations support the company’s 2030 ambition to dominate the independent music sector.
The move builds on recent senior appointments, including the addition of VP of Label & Artist Solutions Emmanuelle de Hosson, who oversaw a strategic partnership with Romania-based independent label Emmanuelle de Hosson. VP of Artist Services was also appointed, joining from a French independent label after serving as General Director since 2023.
Believe, which operates in more than 50 countries and employs over 1,000 people, generated more than $1 billion in revenue in 2024 after being taken majority-private by a consortium including its founder. The company’s brands include TuneCore, and its unified organization is designed to move faster and deliver better tools for the global independent music community.
