Tampa rapper Billy Adams, III admitted to killing his pregnant girlfriend just days after he was acquitted of a double murder

On Februay 8, Tampa rapper Billy Adams, III admitted to killing his pregnant girlfriend just days after he was acquitted of a double murder in a recording studio in Lutz, Florida in 2020.

Just three days after the man walked free from court, Alana Sims, a young woman pregnant with her second child, was found shot to death next to an SUV in a residential area in New Tampa.

Sims’ toddler was found asleep in the nearby vehicle when police arrived.

A week after 22-year-old Alana’s death, Adams admitted to officials that he had pulled the trigger leading to the young woman’s untimely death.

Adams, known in the Tampa hip-hop community as Ace NH, was accused of shooting two men in a makeshift recording studio in 2020.

Fox13 News reported that investigators suspected that Adams was a gang member and the incident was tied to a feud over money.

However, on January 27, a Tampa jury found Adams not guilty of the crime.

In a recent interview about the situation with Sims, Major Mike Stout described Adams as lacking any remorse for the victim in the incident.

Stout also hinted at the motive behind this crime being that Adams was potentially the father of Sims’ unborn child.

“I didn’t find him remorseful in watching my detectives do the interview, no. He did not want to be in her life anymore and was not ready to have a child is unfortunately how it appears to us.” Stout concluded, later revealing that Sims may have been under the impression that she was going to a party in Adams’ honor when the attack occurred.

Adams was arrested on February 8 and now faces charges of first-degree murder and the killing of an unborn child by injury to the mother.

According to close family members of Alana, the young 22-year-old woman was five months pregnant at the time of her death.

Alana’s mother, Shalevi Sims, recently spoke out about seeking justice for her daughter:

“Justice has been served. I mean, I can’t bring my daughter back, but at least we know that the monster that did this was set behind bars. And maybe he would think now of what he’d done. If not, may God be with him.”
