The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) �kicks off its 4th annual �ASCAP Presents”� Women Behind the Music �tomorrow in New York at swanky Meatpacking District club Tenjune. The series is designed to encourage and recognize women in the music community, highlighting not only women songwriters and artists, but women working in all facets of the business, including managers, attorneys, label executives and music publishers. Following the event in New York, the series will then head to Los Angeles on October 17th and Atlanta on October 18th. Each of the three events will feature three or four honorees and a moderator. The honorees will be presented with a special memento in recognition of their contributions to music.
