Today, Sony Music Publishing UK (SMP UK) announced a new worldwide publishing agreement with globally renowned songwriter, producer and artist MNEK, which will include future works written by the hitmaker.
A multi-platinum certified songwriter, producer and artist based in London and LA, MNEK has become one of the most exciting creatives coming out of the UK. A pop and dance auteur, MNEK has contributed songwriting work for a wide range of global musical talent, including chart-topping hits for artists such as Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Jax Jones, Stormzy, Becky Hill, Demi Lovato, Little Mix, BTS and many more.
Recent successes include multiple co-writes and production collaborations with global superstar Zara Larsson, including co-writing her verse on PinkPantheress smash “Stateside + Zara Larsson,” which reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at #1 on both the US Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart and Spotify’s Global chart. MNEK also contributed across Zara Larsson’s hit single “Midnight Sun,” which earned a 2026 GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording, reached #1 on the Billboard Global 200, and recently climbed to a new peak of #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, his long-term creative partnership with FLO garnered further GRAMMY recognition this year, with MNEK co-producing the group’s GRAMMY nominated debut album Access All Areas and co-writing fourteen tracks for the project.
As a solo artist, MNEK has achieved chart-topping success. His UK #1 single “Head & Heart” with Joel Corry boasts over 1.3 billion Spotify streams to date, whist the UK Top 5 hit “Never Forget You” with Zara Larsson sits at over 1.1 billion Spotify streams. MNEK will be returning this year with his much-anticipated sophomore solo album, his first since his 2018 debut Language.
