The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed the Class of 2026, honoring a slate of artists and industry figures whose work reshaped music and culture across generations. The 2026 Induction Ceremony will be held Saturday, November 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with a broadcast debut set for December on ABC and Disney+.
This year�s performers being inducted are: Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu?Tang Clan. The Early Influence Award will recognize Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons, while the Musical Excellence Award goes to Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin. Television pioneer Ed Sullivan will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for his role as a non?performing industry figure who profoundly shaped rock & roll�s growth.

The full list of inductees was unveiled during a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?themed episode of American Idol, with Ryan Seacrest and 2022 inductee Lionel Richie making the announcement live as the show�s Top 11 contestants performed songs from past Hall of Famers. Phil Collins, Luther Vandross, and Wu?Tang Clan enter the ballot as first?time nominees, while Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, and Sade were previously nominated before finally breaking through this year.
Artists become eligible for consideration 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording. Induction categories are defined as follows: the Performer category honors artists whose originality, impact, and influence altered the course of rock & roll; the Early Influence Award highlights artists whose music and performance directly shaped rock & roll and related culture; the Musical Excellence Award is reserved for artists, songwriters, musicians, and producers whose work has had a dramatic, enduring effect on music; and the Ahmet Ertegun Award recognizes non?performing professionals whose vision and leadership helped drive the creative and commercial growth of rock & roll.
Calling induction �music�s highest honor,� Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Chairman John Sykes said the organization is preparing an unforgettable night to celebrate this year�s honorees.
