Streaming: Emma Thompson, Hilary New Releases

This week’s streaming landscape features a variety of new titles across film, television, and music. Noteworthy releases include the thriller “Dead of Winter,” led by Emma Thompson, and Hilary Duff’s long-awaited full-length album, marking her return after an 11-year hiatus.

On the film front, Harris Dickinson’s directorial debut, “Urchin,” will stream on Hulu. The film follows the struggles of an unhoused addict in London, showcasing a social realist narrative style. Additionally, HBO Max will debut “Dead of Winter,” where Thompson portrays a grieving woman who encounters a dangerous situation during a blizzard.

In the music realm, Hilary Duff’s new album, titled “luck… or something,” features 11 tracks that reflect a mature pop sound. Also, Megan Moroney is set to release her latest single, “Cloud 9,” further solidifying her rising status in the country music scene.

Streaming series include “56 Days” on Prime Video, featuring Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia in a suspenseful narrative about a whirlwind romance turned deadly. Meanwhile, Netflix will premiere a new season of “The Night Agent,” focusing on a secret operative entangled in a dark conspiracy. Apple TV+ will also return with “The Last Thing He Told Me,” starring Jennifer Garner, as it explores themes of mystery and danger following a husband’s disappearance.
