ESPN Announces Broadcast Plans for Upcoming Bowl Season

ESPN has revealed its broadcast teams for the upcoming 2025-2026 bowl season, which includes coverage of 33 non-College Football Playoff games. This season, fans can expect six games to air on ABC, along with 25 additional matchups on ESPN and ESPN2. Moreover, 14 of these games will be featured on ESPN Radio, ensuring that audiences can enjoy the action wherever they are.

For those games that are not part of the ESPN Radio lineup, the Bowl Season Radio network will offer coverage, showcasing the breadth of content available for sports enthusiasts.

ESPN is set to broadcast 17 of the 33 bowl games it has under its ownership during this exciting period. The first matchup will kick off on Saturday, December 13th at Noon ET on ABC. This inaugural game will highlight the de facto HBCU National Championship with South Carolina State facing Prairie View A&M in the Celebration Bowl.

The bowl season will wrap up on Friday, January 2nd at 8 PM ET, featuring Wake Forest going head-to-head with Mississippi State in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. This final game promises to be an exciting conclusion to a season filled with competitive matchups.
