In his return, Olson expressed his enthusiasm for rejoining BMG: BMG has always felt like home to me. The company prioritizes songwriters and creativity, and Im proud to return to help shape its future.

Thomas Scherer praised Olsons return, noting that Olsons leadership and creative network would be crucial in scaling BMGs presence in North America, the largest music market. With Monti at the helm, we are further strengthening our position as a trusted partner for songwriters.

Coesfeld added, Montis leadership will be key to driving our publishing strategy and shaping the next phase of growth for BMG.

Olsons most recent role was as President and founding partner of Litmus Music, a music rights acquisition company backed by The Carlyle Group. At Litmus, Olson successfully led more than 10 high-profile acquisitions, including partnerships with major artists like benny blanco, Keith Urban, and Katy Perry.

He reunites with a range of high-profile publishing clients, including Juice WRLDs estate, Diane Warren, John Legend, and DMile, whom he worked with during his prior tenure at BMG.

With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, Olson has held key positions at Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Bros. Records, peermusic, and other major music companies.
