WCBS-FM Weekday Overhaul: Host Changes

New York’s 101.1 WCBS-FM has restructured its entire weekday programming schedule, bringing in familiar voices and shifting time slots across the board.

Race Taylor takes over morning drive from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., marking his return to New York radio after nearly two decades at WPLJ. Taylor was part of WPLJ’s final broadcast when the station signed off in 2019. Beyond radio, he’s become a recognizable voice in television, handling announcements for ABC’s prime time shows, General Hospital, Good Morning America, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, Shark Tank, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He also voices Audacy’s New York Mets baseball coverage.

Jesse Addy moves into the midday slot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Addy joined WCBS-FM in 2024 after hosting afternoon drive on New York’s Country 94.7 and Kiss Country 99.9 in Miami. He created and hosted Audacy’s nationally syndicated Top 20 Country Countdown and continues as Music Director for the station. His radio journey includes stops in Detroit, Atlanta, and East Lansing, Michigan, plus fill-in work at sister station New 102.7.

John Foxx shifts to afternoons, hosting from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The native New Yorker has spent 25 years in radio, starting at WSPK K104 before programming roles in Dallas and Houston. He previously served as Program Director and afternoon host at WPLJ, then Brand Manager at WNSH-FM, and Regional Vice President for Country at Audacy. Foxx returned to on-air duties in 2023 as WCBS-FM’s morning host and Brand Manager.

Broadway Bill Lee rounds out the weekday schedule from 7 p.m. to midnight.

The changes reflect WCBS-FM’s strategy to create what they call “a seamless, engaging experience all day long” while building on the station’s established momentum in New York’s competitive radio market.
