Gail Mitchell, Tyrese, Ledisi on Music Industry State

This is an interesting conversation amongst industry vets about the state of the music industry. Billboard R&B and Hip-Hop editor Gail Mitchell is on the panel along with Tyrese Gibson, Ledisi and Prince backed Liv Warfield to talk about how the labels and radio work. Video courtesy of Grammy.com.

Not sure who this host of the panel is but he is a generation or two removed from the subject matter and should probably be in the audience. I don’t blame him but whoever put the panel together with him as host is ironically the person the panelists are talking about “somebody in the wrong chair.” Thankfully the panel drove itself but a better suited host could have made this an even greater session. The student is not the teacher but I loved the responses nonetheless.
