Yash’s ‘Toxic’ Partners with Zee Music

The highly anticipated Kannada film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, featuring the acclaimed actor Yash, has secured a pivotal music rights agreement with Zee Music Company. This collaboration, reported by The Hollywood Reporter India, is seen as one of the label’s most significant acquisitions in recent years, marking a notable milestone for both the film and the music industry.

‘Toxic’ promises a dynamic soundtrack crafted by a talented lineup of composers, including Ravi Basrur, Vishal Mishra, and Tanishk Bagchi. Vishal Mishra has notably contributed four songs to the film, while Tanishk Bagchi has co-composed a track with Arslan Nizami and Faheem Abdullah, who are recognized for their work on ‘Saiyaara’. Additionally, Basrur has provided one song and is responsible for the film’s background score, ensuring a rich auditory experience.

Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic’ is both written and directed by Geetu Mohandas in collaboration with Yash. The creative team aims to produce an album that seamlessly blends emotional depth with energetic appeal, creating a cinematic experience that resonates with audiences.

Sujal Parekh, Chief Business Officer of Zee Music Company, emphasized the film’s pan-India appeal, stating that ‘Toxic’ embodies a narrative and vision that transcends language and regional barriers. The soundtrack is designed to emotionally engage diverse audiences while maintaining a contemporary mass appeal that aligns with current streaming trends.

Venkat K. Narayana, Chairman of KVN Productions, expressed his excitement about the partnership, highlighting the need for a bold and unforgettable soundscape. He noted that this collaboration with Zee Music Company marks the beginning of a long-term relationship aimed at redefining the intersection of music and cinema. Narayana stated that they aspire to create an experience that extends beyond the screen, enhancing the overall cinematic journey.

Set to be released in both Kannada and English, with dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and more, ‘Toxic’ is scheduled for theatrical release on March 19. The film will compete with ‘Dhurandhar 2’, featuring Ranveer Singh, as anticipation builds for this innovative cinematic venture and its accompanying soundtrack.
