The Rickey Smiley Morning Show discussed Sherri Shepherd getting “fat-shamed” on her show by former “The View” star Marlo Thomas. Shepherd’s staff was angry about Thomas’ comments about the television host’s weight loss and body image, said Gary With Da Tea. While on the “Sherri” show promoting her upcoming projects, Thomas reminded Shepherd that she “used to be a big woman,” said Gary.

Thomas also reminded the “Trail and Error” star that she had interviewed her in the past.

“Then, they say, miss Thomas dug deeper by putting her hands around her body and blowing her face out in an attempt to imitate how fat Sherri Shepherd was,” said Gary. Shepherd’s “people were not happy about it; that she fat-shamed her on national TV. Like a slap in the face.

They say Sherri played it off,” said Gary. Rickey Smiley said Shepherd is a “sweet” and a “personal” friend. The morning show host pledged his support to his companion and said, “we” must stand behind her.

“What did Sherri say?” questioned Da Brat.

Gary said Shepherd did not dig back. Instead, he added that she laughed off the snide remarks and continued with her show.

“Sherri laughed and just hugged her and embraced her. So congratulations to Sherri for being such a great person,” said Gary.
