Taylor Swift Wins Sixth IFPI Global Artist Award

Taylor Swift has been recognized by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) as the Official Biggest-Selling Global Artist of the Year for 2025. This accolade marks her sixth win of this title, underscoring her dominance in the global music market.

Swift’s achievement signifies her fourth consecutive year at the top of the IFPI Global Artist Chart, a testament to her sustained popularity and the effectiveness of her strategic promotional efforts. This latest recognition highlights her unparalleled consistency in delivering commercially successful music.

In 2024, Swift experienced another significant year, driven by high levels of engagement across various formats, including streaming, physical sales, and digital downloads. Her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, along with the documentary The End of an Era, contributed to her ongoing success.

The IFPI Global Artist Chart also featured notable performances from other artists. Stray Kids achieved their best ranking at number two, while Bad Bunny secured fifth place, marking his sixth consecutive year on the chart. Additionally, Tyler, The Creator made his debut at number 12, and Japanese group Mrs. GREEN APPLE entered at number 13.

The IFPI emphasized that the successes reflected in this year’s chart are the result of coordinated efforts from international label teams, whose strategic investments in global marketing and fan engagement have effectively expanded the reach of music across major markets worldwide.
