Tavis Smiley Calls for White House Conference on Poverty

One has to wonder what exactly is Tavis trying to accomplish here Does he really think one president can end poverty or does he have an insatiable axe to grind with President Obama for not appearing at his event years ago Tavis’ dislike for the President is starting to get creepy.

He’s burned bridges at just about all the major black syndicated shows as well as having a very poor relationship with BET, yet he still continues his journey to attack the president’s policies and in his eyes, futile attempts at resolving poverty Some people can be so determined it can drive them crazy. We’ve seen it happen before.

On a lighter note, Tavis’ PBS show is great.
