Spotify has officially announced a price increase for its US subscription plans, set to take effect during February 2026. This adjustment aligns with recent price hikes for subscribers in Estonia and Latvia. According to Spotify, the increase is aimed at enhancing user experience and supporting artists.

When Spotify launched in the US in 2011, an Individual subscription was priced at $9.99/month. This fee rose to $10.99/month in July 2023, then to $11.99/month in July 2024. Starting February 2026, the cost of a Spotify Premium Individual subscription will rise to $12.99/month. New users will still be offered a one-month free trial before making a financial commitment.

Other subscription tiers will also see price adjustments. A Spotify Duo account will now be $18.99/month, up from $16.99/month. The Family plan will increase to $21.99/month from $19.99/month, and the Student plan will rise to $6.99/month from $5.99/month. Below are the updated monthly subscription prices for Spotify in the US:

These price hikes follow similar adjustments in other countries, including the UK, Switzerland, and Australia last year. Additionally, a new Premium Platinum tier was introduced in select countries in November 2025, offering advanced features and lossless audio at a significantly higher price.
