Ayoub was able to approach Simmons directly to hand over the legal documents related to a case filed by Drew Dixon, a former music executive.

Drew Dixon has filed a lawsuit seeking compensatory and punitive damages for defamation against Simmons. The case stems from a December 2023 interview in which Simmons referred to Dixon, among others, as liars.

Dixon previously accused Simmons of sexual assault in 1995. The legal documents were successfully delivered to Simmons, who was identified by Ayoub at the resort. Simmons acknowledged receipt of the documents before contacting his security team.
