Philippine Cinemas to Screen Songs For Selina in March

The music-themed drama ‘Songs For Selina’ is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas on March 18, providing audiences with an insightful exploration of ambition and its consequences within the music industry.

Starring Mica Javier and Rachel Coates, the film centers on Selina and Maya, two musical partners whose aspirations to succeed in the industry become strained by the harsh realities and competitive nature of their environment. As their journey unfolds, the initial harmony between the two leads deteriorates into a struggle for survival.

Previously released in North America through platforms such as Amazon Prime US and Tubi, ‘Songs For Selina’ is now making its way back to Filipino audiences, emphasizing its cultural relevance and connection to local narratives.

Executive producer Jay R, the CEO of Homeworkz Entertainment, has described the film as a deeply personal project, drawing inspiration from real-life experiences and the often-unspoken challenges faced by artists in the industry. The film also features an ensemble cast, including notable performers such as Rachel Alejandro and Audie Gemora.

Produced by Homeworkz Entertainment and distributed by Black Cap Pictures, ‘Songs For Selina’ aims to serve not only as entertainment but as a poignant reflection of the music industry’s complexities, including its triumphs and tribulations.
