Oliver Taylor

Born in St. Thomas, US, V.I. on June 19, 1967, Oliver “Frenchy” Taylor was raised on the mean streets of Far Rockaway, Queen New York. He attended PS 215, IS 53, and Far Rockaway High School. It was then he started his life as a basketball player in high school then onto Corning Community College and completing his collegiate studies at St. Thomas University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

He is the oldest of six children with three sisters and two brothers. His brothers (Oliver Taylor, III and Kurt Taylor) followed his footsteps in playing basketball. Oliver “Monster” Taylor III average 35.2 points at Far Rockaway H.S. and lead NYC in scoring.

He played at Miami-Dade North JC and Seton Hall, where he was Big East MVP in 1991. Younger brother Kurt Taylor was First Team All-City and later played college basketball at Miami-Dade North JC and Hawaii University. They both later had successful professional basketball careers.

Oliver “Frenchy” Taylor, Jr. made a life changing decision when he decided to relocate from Miami, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia in 2002. He started his real estate business “Destiny’s Properties” and gained huge success from this new business venture. Although, his success in real estate was gratifying he still had an undeniable love and passion for music. Therefore, he wasted no time starting on his next great project “OT Management Music” company.

He wanted to learn all the aspects of the music business after watching numerous of artists in New York City get taken advantage of by producers and management teams and young talented artists being lead to a dead-end road. This was his inspiration to start the music company.

Oliver wants the artist he works with to understand that there is no guarantee to make it big in the music industry but it is important to be knowledgeable about the business of music.

He wants to help every artist that he comes in contact with to become entrepreneurs so they will be great businessmen and women in addition to being artist.HI ROC RECORDS (Subsidiary of OT Management Music)Oliver Taylor is Founder & CEO of HI ROC RECORDS, located in Conyers, Georgia.

HI ROC RECORDS has gain recognition in Atlanta, Georgia area and long term goal is to get national exposure. HI ROC RECORDS worked with the following artists, Buddi & Slugga (Atlanta), Jay-Skee (Atlanta, GA.), J-Cool & Snick’az (Conyers, GA.), Neffi Da Great (Atlanta, GA), Ddub (Atlanta, GA) and LadyAnnty (Far Rockaway, NY).

HI ROC RECORDS current project are with Buddi & Slugga Featuring “Jay-Skee”. They are the current Battleground Champions of Atlanta’s HOT 107.9 with their hit single “Lil Buddy”.

In the past, Buddi & Slugga worked with several major and independent artists, such as Lil Scrappy, Macboney (P&C) to name a few. They opened up for the following artists “Gucci Man and Big Bank Black”. The group had an opportunity to perform live in Nashville,TN on the “The Taping of Cashville Live” TV show.

The group also traveled to New York City to perform at the Secrete Lounge and won 1st & 2nd place in Plug-In-U-In Link-Live competition hosted by DJ Cal & Warner Bros. A&R Anthony Jones and given the opportunity to go to 106 & Park. The group songs are currently being played on Atlanta HOT 107.9, Atlanta HOT Radio, Beeta Beat Radio, New York Underground Radio, and SMOOCHES RADIO.
