Dallas Austin Named SVP of A&R at Island Records

 width=In more artists/producers becoming executives news,  Island Records officially announces the addition of Grammy Award winning producer/musician Dallas Austin’s new position. Mr. Austin will step in as the Senior Vice President of A&R and report to Barry Weiss, the Chairmain & CEO of Universal Republic and Island Def Jam Motown.”I am truly honored to be working with the most cutting-edge and creative artists in the business,” said Mr. Austin. “I am inspired and excited every day by this amazing and diverse rosteR&By the leadership and vision of Barry Weiss, Steve Bartels and the IDJ team.
