Beasley Media Group celebrated 102.7 VGS-FM’s first birthday with an exclusive, invitation only party for 102 lucky listeners and their guests on Wednesday, June 28th at the Industrial Sound in Las Vegas. The private party featured a special acoustic performance with Brent and Eric from Elektra National Recording Artists, Shinedown.
In addition, Vegas Entrepreneur, Buddy V. (aka “The Cake Boss”) unveiled a commemorative cake as Brent from Shinedown led guests in a rousing version of “Happy Birthday”!
102.7 VGS’s Morning Duo, Aimee & Shawn, and Afternoon Drive Personality, Sammi Reeves, hosted games on stage, giving listeners a chance to win tickets to see Ed Sheeran, Pink, Big Time Rush in Vegas, as well other prizes, including limited edition memorabilia from the 2023 Stanley Cup Champions, the Vegas Golden Knights.

In June of 2022, VGS moved from 107.9 to the 102.7dial position and was rebranded to Star 107.9 to Las Vegas’ 90’s to Now, 102.7 VGS. In merely 11 months, VGS captured the #1 spot in Nielsen PPM May Book ratings (in the Women 25-54 demographic) and was ranked Top 5 (with all persons 25-54).
