By law, Anita Baker is now entitled to her masters. Even though she is owed the masters, apparently she is still in a fight to the finish and she is asking fans to support her by not supporting her.

This is very similar to the route Dave Chappelle took with Netflix by asking his fans to stop watching his very popular show. Baker also sent out a few tweets talking about the lack of sound quality via streaming platforms She also talked about the lack of quality with remastered vinyl. Anita also broke down how very little artists make via the streaming platforms.

We will watch this closely to see if the queen wins in the end.

?Miraculously… i have out-lived *ALL, of my Artists Contracts? They no longer “Own”, My Name & Likeness. And, by Law…30 yr old, Mstrs are 2B Returned, 2 Me? Unfortunately, They’re gonna make me Fight 4 it. I’m Prepared, 2 do that.

Please Dont advertise/buy them ABXO?? pic.twitter.com/PXe9xzsJK0 Anita Baker (@IAMANITABAKER) March 9, 2021
