Alicia Keys To Perform National Anthem At Super Bowl

Alicia Keys

The Associated Press is reporting that Grammy winning singer/songwriter and actress Alicia Keys will perform the national anthem before the Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on February 3rd. Keys’ debut album “Songs in A Minor” sold over 12 million copies worldwide, as well as earned her five Grammy Awards in 2002, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for “Fallin'”. Keys could join an esteemed list of past Super Bowl performers, including Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, and Luther Vandross.

Christina Aguilera famously flubbed the lyrics to The Star Spangled Banner in 2011. The NFL has yet to announce Keys, and the Associated Press is citing an anonymous source.
