Entercom and Furman University Announce Multiyear Broadcast Agreement

Entercom and Furman University have announced a multiyear broadcast agreement. As part of the agreement, ESPN Upstate (WORD-AM), the top-rated sports talk show station in the Greenville-Spartanburg market, will serve as the flagship station for the schoolโ€™s football and menโ€™s basketball programs.

As part of the partnership, gameday broadcasts will be heard on ESPN, the Upstateโ€™s sports talk leader, which is multicast on 97.7 FM/1330 AM in Greenville, 97.1 FM/950 AM in Spartanburg and nationwide via RADIO.COM, the fastest growing digital audio app in the U.S.

In addition to game broadcasts, ESPN Upstate will also feature special weekly ancillary programming, including in-season shows featuring head football coach Clay Hendrix and menโ€™s basketball mentor Bob Richey.
