“The Hispanic population is growing in Northeast Pennsylvania, and this launch represents a significant step in our commitment to serving our local listeners and clients,” said Ryan Flynn, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Audacy Wilkes-Barre. “I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and long hours it took to get this brand up and running. We can’t wait to give the very best of the Hispanic CHR format to our community.”

The station launches with the following weekday lineup.

6:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. ET: “The Enrique Santos Show”

10:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. ET: James the Bandit

3:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. ET: Jonathan Alcantara

Additional lineup announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

The station will be led by Brand Manager Jonathan Alcantara. Alcantara started his radio career in New England working on Power 102.9, Impacto 1490AM and La Mega de Boston.

In 2020, he came to Northeast PA and launched La Mega 95. Despite its modest beginnings and limited coverage, the station was a success and continued to grow for nearly three years.

“I’m so excited to join the Audacy team in Northeast PA and take the La Mega brand to the next level,” said Alcantara. “Having the access to Audacy’s resources and the tremendous upgrade of coverage with the 102.3 FM and 1300 AM signals will open up so many new possibilities.”

Listeners can tune in to La Mega 102.3 (WLMZ-FM/AM) in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on air and nationwide on the Audacy app and website. Listeners can also connect with the station via Facebook and Instagram.
