Anthem Entertainment Extends Chris Janson Deal

Today,�Anthem Entertainment�and their award-winning music publishing division have announced the extension of their publishing deal with multi-platinum artist and songwriter Chris Janson. Dating back to 2016, this marks the continuation of a long-time relationship between Janson and Anthem. The announcement comes on the heels of the release of Janson’s Big Machine Label Group album,�The Outlaw Side of Me, which was released on June 16 and includes the single “All I Need Is You”, which is rapidly nearing the top 20 on the charts, and focus track “21 Forever”, which features Dolly Parton and Slash.

The incredibly profound and diverse album also features heavy hitters such as Darius Rucker and Brantley Gilbert and was produced by Oscar-nominee and GRAMMY� winner Julian Raymond (Glen Campbell, Cheap Trick, Insane Clown Posse). Janson signed with Big Machine Label Group in late 2022 and�The Outlaw Side of Me�marks his first album with the label, coming off his 2022 album, “All In”.

Janson’s first top-5 hit came in 2015, with the extremely popular track “Buy Me a Boat”, which peaked at #3 on the Country Airplay Chart, #1 on Mediabase, and has gone 4x Platinum since its release. Other songs that have recently earned Platinum certifications include “Good Vibes”, “Drunk Girl” and “Fix a Drink”. Janson also hit #1 twice with his 2019 singles “Done” and “Good Vibes”, with both songs also achieving RIAA Gold status.

Anthem’s publishing division has had a stellar year so far, with the expansion of their publishing deal with Timbaland and his company Beatclub, and a recent publishing deal with country songwriter Jamie Paulin.�The past few months have also seen the company chart four songs in the top 30 on the Country Music Chart, including “Wild as Her” by Corey Kent which recently reached #1, “Next Thing You Know,” by Jordan Davis, “How It Oughta Be” by rising star Shane Profitt which peaked at #16, and “You, Me, And Whiskey” by chart-topper Justin Moore.

Other #1 placements this year include The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s collaboration “Die For You,” which took the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and Jordan Davis’ “What My World Spins Around,” which hit #1 on Billboard’s US Country Airplay chart. Anthem also took home four ASCAP Pop Awards on May 18, honoring their achievement for most performed songs of 2022, a list that includes “Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson, “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis, “Chasing After You” by Ryan Hurd ft. Maren Morris, and “Die For You”.�
