Audacy today announced Sam Levitt will join 97.3 The Fan’s (KWFN-FM) flagship broadcast coverage of the San Diego Padres as pregame and postgame host. Levitt will join The Padres Radio Network broadcast team alongside play-by-play announcer Jesse Agler and color analyst Tony Gwynn Jr, beginning this season.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sam Levitt as the new pre and postgame host for Padres baseball on the Padres Radio Network,” said Adam Klug, Brand Manager, 97.3 The Fan and The Padres Radio Network. “Sam has a wealth of experience and passion for baseball that will benefit Padres fans of all ages.

“I’m incredibly excited to join 97.3 The Fan and the Padres Radio Network,” said Levitt. “Since I started broadcasting baseball as a college student and throughout my time in the minors, it’s remained my goal to be part of a Major League broadcast team. I’m extremely grateful to both 97.3 The Fan and the Padres organization for believing in me.

I look forward to covering a team that has World Series aspirations, while interacting with San Diego’s outstanding fanbase on radio, social media and beyond.”

Levitt joins the broadcast team after serving in multiple sports broadcasting roles, including as Director of Broadcasting and voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks Double-A affiliate Amarillo Sod Poodles; host and segment producer for Learfield IMG College, where he hosts pregame, halftime, and postgame shows on Loyola-Chicago men’s basketball radio broadcasts; and freelance college sports play-by-play broadcaster heard on the Big Ten Network, NBC Sports, and ESPN+. Levitt’s efforts helped him earn Ballpark Digest’s “2021 Minor League Broadcaster of the Year” award. Other previous roles include TV and radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Houston Astros Double-A affiliate Corpus Christi Hooks from 2017 to 2018 and director of broadcasting and media relations for the Gateway Grizzlies from 2014 to 2016.

Listeners can tune in to 97.3 The Fan (KWFN-FM) in San Diego on air, as well as nationwide on the Audacy app and website. Fans can also connect with the station on social media via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
