95.5 The Bull Announces Deryk Engelland Day to Honor Retiree

95.5 The Bull to dedicate a day to the beloved Vegas Golden Knight in honor of his recent retirement and his contributions to the Las Vegas community

The day will honor the former Vegas Golden Knight’s recent retirement and the significant contributions he has made to the Las Vegas community both on and off the ice.

95.5 The Bull is dedicating a day on the airwaves to celebrate Engelland, who is known to be a big fan of his community and Country music.

As part of the celebration, Engelland will co-host afternoon drive with on-air personality Wayne D from 2 � 7 p.m. PT. Listeners will be encouraged to call into the Radio Station at 702-238-7413, and leave messages for Engelland, which will be played back throughout the day.

In addition, listeners can visit the Radio Station ‘s website to enter to win autographed Engelland gear including a jersey, hockey stick, puck and more. 95.5 The Bull will also encourage donations to Engelland’s charity, Engo’s Vegas Born Heroes, which honors community heroes in Las Vegas.

“95.5 The Bull is proud to celebrate our friend Deryk Engelland not just for his contributions to hockey in Las Vegas, but for his charitable efforts in the community,” said MoJoe Roberts, Program Director for 95.5 The Bull.

“From his very impactful ‘Vegas Strong’ speech on October 10, 2017, to today, Deryk has made and continues to make Las Vegas a place locals are proud to call home,” said Wayne D.

Engelland, who wore number five on the ice as a Vegas Golden Knight, announced his retirement from the team on December 22, 2020, after playing 11 seasons and 671 games in the NHL.

In conjunction with his retirement announcement, Engelland has accepted a new position with the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation serving as the Special Assistant to the Owner.

“I am grateful and humbled to have a day on 95.5 The Bull. I listen to the Radio Station every day and it’s an honor to be a part of the Bull family and the Las Vegas community,” said Deryk Engelland.
