Tank - Black Music Month - Radio Facts
Pop/hip-hop maverickBryce Vinereturns today with“Care at All,”a genre-mashing lowkey anthem that shows off the Los Angeles-based singer and producer’s candid writing and rich voice.“Why do I even care at all?”Brycelaments on the plush track’s chorus, after revealing that he’s been spending a little too much time reflecting on a relationship gone wrong. Listen to itHEREand check out the accompanying psychedelic videoHERE.

“Care at All” finds the multi-platinumBryceVinereturning to the swirling production and introspective lyrics that have fueled his most memorable tracks, like his 2017 breakthrough “Drew Barrymore.” Brooding in an alcohol-soaked haze, he slides over a deceptively upbeat groove toward a bridge that leavesBrycealone with his thoughts.

“This is a song about the heartbreak of losing someone,”Bryceexplains.“It’s going through all the ways you try to get them off your mind, but nothing is working. It’s a pretty depressing concept so I wanted to keep the vibe fun and energetic. I kept thinking about the song “Where Is My Mind” by The Pixies and tapping into that energy – like if they remadeFight Clubin 2021, this song could be playing at the end as the buildings are blowing up.”This new single follows a productive couple of years forBryceVine.

In 2019, he released his debut full-length,Carnival, which included the platinum YG-assisted hit “La La Land.” He carried that momentum into 2020, releasing the contemplativeProblemsEP,collaborating on the post-party anthem “Stay” with Cheat Codes, and making the warm dance-pop single “Baby Girl” with The Neptunes’ Chad Hugo. “Care at All” is both a reminder of what madeBryce Vine‘s music so alluring in the first place and an exciting look at the future as he stares down another busy year.
