Local Artist Zack Scott Pursues Nashville Opportunities

A prominent figure in the Casper, Wyoming music scene, artist Zack Scott is set to embark on a month-long trip to Nashville, Tennessee, in May. Known as a pivotal hub for the music industry, Nashville presents a wealth of opportunities for emerging artists like Scott. During his stay, he aims to audition at various venues, participate in open mic nights, and establish valuable industry connections.

Scott has identified several key locations for auditions, including the renowned Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Broadway. While he has not finalized a detailed schedule, his primary objective is to network within the Nashville music community, with hopes of securing repeat performance opportunities in the future.

In addition to his networking efforts, Scott is working on a new project that aims to follow up his 2023 debut album, “Heathens.” He plans to record and potentially release some tracks from this project as an EP during his time in Nashville. This upcoming work is expected to shift towards a poppier sound, contrasting with the outlaw country style of his previous album.

Scott’s musical journey began in his youth, inspired by family and neighbors who played guitar. He developed a unique sound that blends bluesy southern rock influences, drawing from both contemporary artists and classic music legends. As he prepares for his Nashville trip, the Casper community will host a send-off concert at Oil City Beer Co. on February 28, with proceeds aimed at supporting his upcoming endeavors.
