KRZZ-FM raises $424,000 for Oakland Children’s Hospital

 width=KRZZ-FM “93.3FM La Raza”, the Spanish radio station owned and operated by Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. (SBS) (Nasdaq: SBSA) in the San Francisco Bay area, conducted its 4th annual fundraising Radiothon benefiting the Children’s Hospital and Research Center Oakland this past weekend resulting in $424,000 raised in donations and pledges. The Radiothon was produced live from the hospital and began with a broadcast on Friday morning and ended Sunday evening. It was a team effort and the following DJ’s participated: Carmen Ramirez “La Morrita”, Ernesto de Santiago “El Barzon”, Charito Martinez, Valentin Garcia “El Semental”, Fernando Martinez “El Carinoso” and special guest, Erika Vidrio “La Potranca”.”To support and help the community, children in particular, is our responsibility and that is why we continue with this annual radiothon tradition, especially because these children are our future leaders,” said Elena Jovel, Program Director of 93.3FM La Raza. “It is an honor for 93.3FM La Raza to have done this 4th Radiothon to benefit Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland.”The funds raised during the Radiothon are part of the national efforts by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization that works with 170 local children’s hospitals in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
