Deezer has launched Flow Tuner, a new feature designed to enhance user engagement by allowing listeners to customize the algorithm that curates their Flow playlists. This update aims to differentiate Deezer from competitors like Spotify and Apple Music by offering a more personalized listening experience.
Flow has been a central feature of the Deezer platform for over a decade, generating continuous playlists based on users’ preferred tracks, artists, and genres. While users previously had some ability to adjust the mood and genre focus, Flow Tuner now enables a more granular level of control. Listeners can activate or deactivate specific genres and subgenres, directly influencing the types of tracks they encounter.
This feature not only allows users to refine their listening preferences but also encourages exploration of new musical styles. By enabling users to easily switch genres, Deezer facilitates the discovery of new music that users may wish to explore further.
Additionally, Deezer has integrated an AI detection tool to ensure that AI-generated music is excluded from the Flow playlists, maintaining the quality of content. The platform also provides a Tune My Music option, enabling new users to seamlessly transfer their musical preferences, including playlists, albums, and artists, from other streaming services such as Spotify.
