Vibrant Emotional Health, a prominent mental health organization, has announced a partnership with Backline, a nonprofit focused on mental health resources for music industry professionals, to launch B-LINE, a 24/7 mental health and crisis support line tailored specifically for the music sector. This initiative aims to provide immediate confidential assistance from trained counselors who are familiar with the unique challenges faced by individuals working in the music industry.

B-LINE will serve a diverse audience including artists, crew members, industry staff, executives, and their families, who can access support by calling 1-855-BLINE99 or texting (254-639) BLINE9. The introduction of this service underscores Backline’s ongoing commitment to enhancing mental health resources for a workforce that often operates outside conventional care frameworks.

Since its inception in 2019, Backline has invested $3.5 million in mental health initiatives for the music industry, benefiting over 84,000 individuals. The organization has identified a critical need for real-time crisis support, which B-LINE directly addresses. This new service complements Vibrant’s extensive crisis response services and mental health programs, which collectively provide essential support to millions annually through various lifelines and community initiatives.

Through this collaboration, Vibrant and Backline aim to bolster the mental health infrastructure for the music industry, ensuring that support is readily available at all times. In conjunction with the B-LINE service, Backline will continue to maintain its online resource hub, providing ongoing mental health information and referrals for industry professionals.
