BMI returned to the iconic Bluebird Café in Nashville on January 20, 2026, for the launch of its monthly BMI Acoustic Lounge series.
The intimate event featured BMI/Electric Feel Entertainment songwriters KC Bruner, Eddie And The Getaway, Thomas Edwards, and Ricky Manning. Each artist shared their songs and the stories behind them in a laid-back, authentic atmosphere.
Shannon Sanders, BMI’s Exec. Director of Creative in Nashville, hosted the evening, highlighting how the series offers songwriters a meaningful platform to showcase new music.
“BMI Acoustic Lounge creates spaces where songwriters can connect with audiences who genuinely appreciate their craft,” Sanders said. “The Bluebird Café is the perfect setting for this, with its rich history in Nashville’s songwriting community.”
Since its inception in 2005, BMI Acoustic Lounge has expanded across various cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and London.
The series has featured rising stars such as Ray Benson, Carter Faith, and Maggie Rogers. The showcase in Nashville began in 2024 and continues to bring emerging talent to the forefront.
