G-DRAGON Wins Album of the Year on QQ Music for Übermensch

G-DRAGON just clinched ‘Album of the Year’ on QQ Music, solidifying his dominance in the Chinese market.

Renowned singer G-DRAGON has been awarded the prestigious title of “Album of the Year” for his full-length album, “Übermensch,” according to the recent year-end chart from QQ Music, China’s leading music platform. This recognition not only highlights the album’s strong reception in China but also underscores G-DRAGON’s significant impact on the broader global music scene, particularly in Chinese-speaking territories.

The QQ Music year-end chart, released on January 9th, confirms that “Übermensch” resonated with a wide audience throughout the year. Following the announcement of this accolade, G-DRAGON took to his official fan social media account to express his gratitude, posting a photo of the trophy accompanied by the message, “THANKS FAM!” This further engages his devoted fanbase, who continue to rally around his achievements.

Additionally, G-DRAGON’s influence in the Chinese music market is further accentuated by his presence on the TME 2025 Year-End Chart, released by Tencent Music Entertainment Group, which is the largest music streaming service in China. On this chart, he secured three significant titles: K-pop Artist of the Year, K-pop Album of the Year for “Übermensch,” and K-pop Song of the Year for his track “Home Sweet Home.” This recognition showcases G-DRAGON’s versatility and enduring popularity within the K-pop genre.

G-DRAGON’s individual tracks also performed exceptionally well, with songs such as “Too Bad” and “Take Me” earning spots on the shortlist for K-pop Song of the Year alongside “Home Sweet Home.” Notably, “Too Bad” was identified as one of the “Highest-Scoring Songs of the Year” and also made the cut for the “All-Time Highest-Scoring Songs.” Likewise, the track “Drama” was recognized as a “Highest-Scoring Song of the Year,” while “Home Sweet Home” achieved the distinction of being the “Longest-Charting Song on the Korea Chart.”

Looking ahead, G-DRAGON is set to host his first solo fan meeting since debuting, scheduled for three days from February 6 to 8 at KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Songpa District. Fans can anticipate further ticketing information and details to be released sequentially through the official fan community, marking a highly anticipated event for his supporters.
