Cumulus Media has announced the appointment of Patrick Davis as the new Program Director for Q99.7 Atlanta (WWWQ-FM), the company’s iconic Top 40 radio station.
Davis, who brings over a decade of experience in radio programming, will be based in Atlanta and will report to Leslie Whittle, VP of CHR, Hot AC, and Rhythmic CHR at Cumulus Media, as well as Justin Schaflander, Vice President/Market Manager for Cumulus Atlanta.
Before joining Cumulus, Davis served as Senior Vice President of Programming at iHeart Media Dallas for 13 years. His career highlights include his work with the nationally syndicated Kidd Kraddick Show as Operations Manager, and his long tenure with iHeart Media’s Dallas and Austin markets, where he held various roles, including Program Director for Kiss 106.1/KHKS-FM and Vice President of Programming.
Brian Philips, Chief Content Officer at Cumulus Media, expressed his excitement about Davis’ appointment, noting that Q99.7 is a prime station in the company’s Top 40 portfolio, making it an ideal platform for Davis’ expertise in talent and brand development. “We foresee an important future for him at Cumulus,” Philips added.
Davis is stepping into a legacy station with a strong following, and he’s eager to keep Q99.7 at the top of its game.
“This station has a storied past, a talented existing team, and the challenge of maintaining its CHR dominance,” Davis said. He’s particularly excited about the plans to launch a new morning show to further solidify the station’s position.
