Stonehenge: Spinal Tap’s Ultimate Rock Show

Legendary fictional heavy metal band Spinal Tap—featuring Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprising their iconic roles—will be headlining a historic concert film titled Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale. The film, marking the first-ever rock concert filmed at the ancient English landmark Stonehenge, is set for release in 2026.

Stonehenge Hosts Spinal Tap’s Ultimate Rock Show in New Film

The concert is centered around the band’s iconic song “Stonehenge,” and will feature a once-in-a-lifetime performance with show-stopping guest appearances from music legends Shania Twain, Eric Clapton, and Josh Groban. This monumental event captures the band’s legendary energy and rock mythology against the backdrop of one of the world’s most famous landmarks.

The film will be distributed by Bleecker Street, who recently acquired U.S. rights. The acquisition follows Bleecker Street’s re-release of the original This Is Spinal Tap (1984) and the highly anticipated sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues earlier this year. Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale will be available in theaters and IMAX® in 2026.

The film is produced by Vertigo Live, known for its documentary concert films with global artists like Billy Idol, Duran Duran, and KALEO. Kent Sanderson, CEO of Bleecker Street, humorously remarked, “I’m told this is it. They’re really serious this time,” while acknowledging the fitting nature of filming at Stonehenge for the band’s final act.

Ian Brenchley, CEO of Vertigo Live, shared the excitement of bringing Spinal Tap to the legendary site: “An iconic band performing at one of the world’s most legendary landmarks, captured in IMAX and turned up to eleven. This is exactly what we set out to do: take music beyond the stage and turn it into living cinema.”

This final concert film promises to deliver an unforgettable experience, blending rock history with cinematic grandeur.
