Urban One, Inc. Appoints New Operations Manager

Radio One, a division of Urban One − the  largest distributor of urban content in the country, today announced the promotion of  Erwin “KAtt D” Hill to Operations Manager at Radio One Raleigh-Durham, North  Carolina. Urban One is the largest African American-owned multimedia provider of  content targeted to the Black and Urban consumer.

KAtt D’s career with Urban One launched in 2003 at Radio One’s ATL cluster of radio  stations. In 2009, KAtt was promoted to Assistant Program Director for Majic 97.5/107.5  (WAMJ/WUMJ) as well as Program Director of Classix 102.9 (W275BK). Additionally,  he has a background in the mainstream urban format. 

Since his recent interim appointment at Foxy 107-104 as an Assistant Program Director,  KAtt has demonstrated his keen ability to seamlessly transition into a new role in  support of the company’s needs and he has proven himself to be an asset to the team. 

“It is my pleasure to announce that Erwin “KAtt D” Hill will be our next Operations  Manager at Radio One Raleigh!” stated Gary Weiss, Vice President and General  Manager, Radio One Raleigh-Durham.

“KAtt checks all of the boxes with his depth of  experience, his recent success in his interim role, and his ‘high tech/high touch’  acumen. He and his wife, Carla, look forward to settling in the Raleigh area.” 

When asked about his new promotion, KAtt responded, “I’m so excited about this new  opportunity to work with such talented individuals. I can already see that the Raleigh  team is extremely passionate about the music as well as their community. I look forward  to being a part of such a creative group. Nothing but up from here!”
