MNRK Music Group announces a partnership with leading NYC industry workshop Steel Sessions and its producers Francis “Buda Da Future” Ubiera, Dan “Grandz Muzik” Garcia, and Michael “Mike Kuz” Kuzoian. Under this new partnership, Buda, Grandz, and Mike Kuz, along with rising talent from Steel Sessions, will develop artists in the studio to sign them to MNRK, and will provide production
services for MRNK Urban’s frontline releases, lo-fi instrumental albums, brand partnerships, soundtracks, and artist synchs.

Buda & Grandz are prepping their next single, “What’s The Reason,” ft. Dave East and Katt Rockell, which will be released later this summer. Steel Sessions was founded in 2017 and is based in the famed NYC downtown recording studio The Engine Room. It has become a creative hub for writers, producers, engineers, and artists.
The Steel Sessions team has already worked with MNRK on production for Benny the Butcher’s Black Soprano Family label and Afropop artist Adanna Duru. Steel Sessions producers have also worked with numerous artists, including Jadakiss, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, Young MA, Nipsey Hussle, Cordae, Offset, Nelly Furtado, Jeremih, Skilla Baby, Dave East and more. They’ve also scored ESPN’s 30 for 30: The Greatest Mixtape Ever, and music for the televised NBA finals last year. The Steel Sessions collective is currently completing a Street Fighter compilation, sanctioned by Capcom through NERD. They worked on the soundtrack, have 4 songs in the game, and an additional 14 songs on the compilation, due out this summer.

The team also scored the film Shooting Stars, based on the Lebron James book of the same name, which debuted on the Peacock streaming channel on June 2 nd . Steel Sessions producers have won both a Cannes Lion and a MUSE Creative Award for their score for short film Clarks and New York Soles of the City.
Ebrahim “Abe” Rasheed, SVP of MNRK’s Urban Division, says, “The Steel Sessions collective is comprised of world-class producers who are ready to expand their production talent beyond the conventional Hip-hop and RnB ‘Beats’. Together, we are going to make SS into New York City’s new hit factory and the leading gateway for new writers, artists, and producers.”

Steel Sessions co-founder Buda Da Future, says, “We are excited to partner with MNRK. Throughout the years, Steel Sessions has created a community that thrives on artist & producer development, which is a lost art in today’s climate and ignored by most. MNRK has seen the vision. Finally, a label that remembers the importance of investing in talent development!”
