Living Legends Foundation Presents Career Day

The Living Legends Foundation Inc., in conjunction with The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Henry County School System are presenting a career day entitled, “This Is How We Rock!” on March 18, 2015 at Stockbridge High School (SHS) located in Stockbridge, Ga. a suburb of Atlanta. Music superstar, Usher Raymond ‘s New Look Foundation sponsors the Music Industry Leadership 101 (MIL101) course focusing on careers behind the scenes in the music business. “This Is How We Rock!” is the brainchild of the FBLA students in the MIL101 course who conceived and applied personalized learning skills, along with mentoring from project partners, to manage and coordinate the ideas and logistics for the event. Over 2,000 students along with 8th graders from two feeder middle schools will attend.David Linton, Chairman, Living Legends Foundation, Inc. �has worked with Dr.

Joyce Elliott Atkinson (course instructor and FBLA adviser) and SHS Principal, Eric Watson, by calling on music professionals from the Atlanta Metropolitan Area to come and share their experiences with students. The Industry professionals who have agreed to participate are: Ric Ross, (Capitol Records), Kendall Minter Esq (Minter & Associates), Leonard McGee (Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards), Cheryl Flowers-Briggs (Manager Faith Evans), Tonya Byrd (Columnist Urban Buzz/Media Consultant), Allen Johnston (the Music Specialist), �Marsha George (author/radio veteran), Arlinda Garrett (Queen Promotions), Elnora Linton (Marketing Consultant) and Jimmy Roach (music producer). Linton says, “I’m so grateful for the support of those who have agreed to share their vast knowledge with these very bright students.
