Kentucky State University professor wins national award

A Kentucky State University professor was recently honored by the College Media Association (CMA).

Dr. David L. Shabazz, chair of the Division of Literature, Languages and Philosophy and associate professor, received the four-year broadcast advisor award from the national organization.

According to a press release from CMA, “Distinguished Adviser Awards are for professionals who have advised for greater than five years.”

According to the release, CMA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to serving collegiate media advisers.
